Description
Active Support is an evidence informed practice that staff use to support people with intellectual disabilities and other developmental needs to engage in meaningful activities and social interactions. This enables people to have a good quality of life.
Through this workshop, you will be introduced to Active Support. You will also learn how Active Support can help individuals with intellectual disabilities and other developmental conditions be engaged, interact with others, communicate, make choices and participate in activities at home or in the community.
