The Autism Collaborative is proud to present: "From Words to Meaningful Connections: Building Communication Skills in Autism", presented by Ms Amanda Loke, Principal Speech-Language Therapist from the Department of Child Development, KKH. Ms Amanda Loke has 14 years of experience working with children with diverse developmental needs on hospital and school settings. She believes strongly in partnering key stakeholders to develop children holistically to facilitate their participation and engagement in the community.
This talk explores the building blocks of communication and how autism may impact the development of language and social communication, leading to challenges in social interactions. Practical strategies on how we can support the communication of individuals with autism will be shared at this talk.
